FPSNA Performance Premium and Awards Program Banner

For Registered Fell Ponies
Sponsored by FPSNA, Inc.

FPSNA is pleased to offer our annual Performance Premium and Awards Program, designed to encourage participation by our members and their Fell ponies throughout a wide range of activities all across North America. The program is mirrored primarily after the Fell Pony Society (UK) Performance Premium Awards Scheme, and also after the US Equestrian Foundation’s Horse of The Year Awards, as well as incorporating features of our original (and hereby replaced) Pony Points Program. Given the vast size of North America, it is very difficult for rare Fell ponies that are scattered across the continent to get together in sufficient numbers for any meaningful Fell Pony championships. This program will thus allow members to compete locally, while at the same time providing a practical means of participation in North American Fell Pony Championships (through our Fell Pony of the Year Awards.) We hope that our new awards program will continue to help promote the Fell Pony in North America, and also encourage our members to find more opportunities to go out and have fun with their ponies!

The Program will have two main Sections: Performance Premium Section and Handy Pony Section. The Performance Premium Section includes the following divisions: Ridden (other than dressage), In-Hand, Dressage, Driving, and Stallion/Mare Progeny Performance. The Handy Pony Section is for nonjudged activities and includes Ambassador Pony and Working Pony Divisions"NEW"Special Award will also be given to the breeder and owner of the High Point Performance Champion Fell Pony that is Born in North America.  (This will be given for the pony (born in North America) earning the highest total number of points in the Performance Section (including any division or combination of divisions.))

Double Points in this awards program are earned in any FPSNA sanctioned or sponsored classes, which will be listed on our Events page.  Please note that the double points normally apply only to individual classes sponsored or sanctioned by FPSNA (eg., M&M classes), and not all classes at the same show.  Please check with FPSNA if you are unsure which classes/shows qualify.

The competition year runs from December 1 until November 30 annually, and FPSNA membership is required to participate in this program. Note that program divisions that are offered may be adjusted and/or expanded in future competition years, such as possible adjustment for professional vs. amateur status, depending upon member interest and participation.
