FPSNA Bylaws

The Fell Pony Society (FPS), based in the United Kingdom, is the worldwide registry for the Fell Pony breed.  FPS maintains the Stud Book for the breed, facilitates the registration of ponies and processes transfers of ownership, in addition to many other services.

FPSNA is not a breed registry but a breed association, dedicated to upholding the rules and regulations of the FPS, and to the preservation and promotion of the traditional Fell Pony in North America. Although there are several organizations appearing to support Fell Ponies on our continent, FPSNA is:

• the only active membership based organization supporting Fell Ponies in North America
• the only organization with transparent leadership, and zone reps appointed by member vote.
• the oldest and largest Fell Pony breed organization in North America, as shown by:
• Our incorporation as a 501(c)(3) IRS not-for-profit organization in January 2002.
• Our status as the first Registered Overseas Branch of FPS anywhere in the world in May 2004.
